That was what I was expecting, but the full 3 quarts went in. I had zero spillage, maybe a little left in the funnel... My concern is whether I need to add additional fluid, until it is full and does come back out the fill plug hole?

It was relatively level, not perfectly. If anything it sloped from front to back (rear being lower).
