I just finished bondo-ing and painting my sail panels. It doesnt look bad at all, quite good actually, but i dont think i sanded the color coats (3) enough to make it as smooth as possible and when i applied clear-coat (2) it didnt come out as reflective or shiny as i hoped (still a little reflective and shiny). Would I be able to fix it by wetsanding the clearcoat with maybe 1000 or something and then applying more clear on top or...?

Try wetsanding with 1000, enough to remove the clear, and smooth out the paint, as you should have originally.

I, personally, would use 1500, but that would take much longer!

Goal is to get through the clear coats, TO the top color coat, and then smooth that out. Once that is smoothed, reapply the clear, as normal, wetsand the clear with 1500 or so, and you're good to go.

I was afraid of that . Once i sand through the clear and back into the color i reapply the clear and then sand it with 1500 and then do i polish/wax (what im planning on)?
