I bought some two part clear epoxy from Auto Zone and glued spots every 2-3 inches, and used clamping belts (normally used for wood projects) to secure things tightly together. Then ran a beed of black silicone around the cut area, and done. Not a problem yet. Even through that terrible storm here in OH this past fri.
