Yeah, it just hit me last weekend and it has taken this long for me to come to grips with the idea that I cannot bring myself to mod something. I have all the stuff to black out my headlights, but after removing the lens from the car, I could settle on the right place to make my cuts. So I took some pic's and reinstalled them, with my tail tucked between my legs. I marked where I was thinking of cutting, with a red line, so could someone tell me if I am going in the right direction or not, please.

I cut my spare open exactly where the clear plastic meets the black, but not into the black. Went perfect and didnt take too long with those nicer cutoff wheels.

Those lenses look beat anyways. Not like they are brand new headlights.

Yeah I know, but they are all I have and if I screw them up, I will have nothing at all. So I wanted to be sure that I didn't do that. You know.
Honestly, they aren't really that bad. I mean they had not been washed in about a month or so and the almost three months since I have put any Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish on them. All I have to do is hit them up with some soap and some polish and they are good as new.

If you really don't trust yourself enough to open them, then just find a crappy headlight from the junkyard and pratice on it.
You could pick up a junk one for dirt cheap probably.

I'm starting my headlight project soon too....if I ever get the damn headlights. The thing that sucks about the mystique headlamps is that we don't get the same discount that the contour guys get. The contours can get new oem lamps for $100 a piece through tousley....stiques have to pay around $150...$100 more for the pair. Anyway, I'm planning to hightowerize and pop in some Hella 90mm H9 low beam projectors.
