I can understand the occasion light summer shower but today (Saturday), it's been raining almost all day....anywhere from a "pull to the side of the road" downpour to a steady rain. I know the vent is full of water. I wonder what all that water and more just sitting in and around the UIM would do?



are you forgetting the entire underside of the front end of the car is open. The front part of the car through the radiator is open -

Its not an issue as long as the plugs arnt submerged and the air filter is not in standing water.
