Fuel Charge Harness interchangability #1276376 05/13/05 04:43 PM

OP tktrain CEG\'er T Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 87 Southwestern Indiana	I noticed a few months back that I had some cracking in some of my wiring. I am WAY past 100K, about 166K to be exact, so I am past the recall. It appears that the only harness with a problem is the Fuel Charge Harness (the one that goes to the injectors, coilpack, TPS, etc.) at least I haven't found any problems on the others. My question is this: What is the interchange on this harness? Can I get a harness from a newer model and simply plug it in? If so, this will be a relative snap to fix, basically by Removing & Replacing the UIM and unplugging & plugging in the connectors. Does anyone out there have good fact based info on this? Does anyone think I'd have a decient shot at finding a "retired" contour that got the recall wiring changes?
