Need to buy a MP3 player. Hard drive based, probably 5-10gb, can't be an iPod or the Dell Jukebox.
1. Must be good quality 2. Must have good battery life
iRiver? The Olympus?

I have a Samsung, and it's been good to me. It has a built in FM tuner and transmitter, as well as a 20 gig drive. The current model is YH-940, I think.

I'd agree ... Creative Zen Micro. (Since it's as close to an iPod without being one, which for some reason you don't want )

Why can't it be the Dell or the Apple?
As for anything else, I've been looking at the Creative. Seems to be a good price for comparable features...

irivers are sweet but the last time i checked they were more expensive than ipods. . . i agree with stazi, if its for the car, get the omnifi. i just got mine. easy install, 20gb, and $180 with the wireless, $140 without. its pretty dang awesome, especially for the price.

why can't it be the ipod? do you have something against the best/most popular device on the market?? Personally i wouldn't buy one either, not because i think it's bad...but because i think the sony walkmans are far better. Originally posted by JVT: Need to buy a MP3 player. From what I've seen Creative makes the Dell Jukeboxes. The 15GB Dell Unit I have was Identical other than some asthetics to the the last generation of Creative units. Even the OS appeared to be identical. I'd say if you want a Creative unit and can get a Dell cheaper, go that way.
