This is not about banning fighting dogs. Dog fights are already illegal. This is what the ban affects -

And this is so [censored] wrong I can hardly stand to think about it.

Taking these dogs from their owners and euthenizing them is equivilent to packing off Germans to kill them on the premise that the German people once started two world wars, so they might do it again. Innocent until proven guilty is a principle that should apply to more than just people.
