To me the plug looks pretty good, it is a tad on the white side which means its running too hot. So you could try a hotter plug. But honesty it looks good to me.

they are only a month old and there's all that carbon on it.. I suppose I should say I already cleaned it before that pic... that's NORMAL after a month? and they are motocraft...what would be a "hotter" one.. I used to use autolite but I got the same performance really so what do you suggest?

Change your brand of fuel. Those are fuel modifier deposits from certain fuel additives. It probably doesn't hurt anything but I would rather use fuel that didn't do that.

Is that carbon or oil buildup?

Here's a good read on spark plugs.

That is a good article and those are good illistrations. However the pictures only show the effects of heat range. It doesn't show the effects of various types of fouling. Such illustrations used to be common and could be found in nearly any spark p;lug catalog. They seem to be hard to find these days. The pictures you posted show classic "modifier" additive deposits. Some brands in certain areas seemed to have more such additives than others. In my area, Mobil doesn't seem to use such additives, at least not in quantities to do that. Just try some other brands and see what happens.

Look on the back of any Haynes manual. They have good color pics and explinations of spark plugs, and how to use them to read your engine.
