I'm possibly swapping from cloth seats to leather seats. I might get some Post-98 Mystique leather seats for my '98 Tour from the junk yard I also found some Contour leather seats. I have a few questions though. 1. Are the Mystique seats a direct bolt on? 2. Will the power driver seat work if I just plug it in? 3. Will the fold down back seats of the Mystique fit if my Contour didn't come with fold downs? 4. Is the power Contour leather seat more comfortable than the Mystique seat? I really need to get these questions aswered quick because I might get the seats tommorow. Thanks

1. Are the Mystique seats a direct bolt on? Yes
2. Will the power driver seat work if I just plug it in? yes I think, may have to add the fuse in the dist. box
3. Will the fold down back seats of the Mystique fit if my Contour didn't come with fold downs? yes, you have to drill a few holes to mount the hardware, latches, and hinge
4. Is the power Contour leather seat more comfortable than the Mystique seat? No, the mystique seats are "squishy'er and softer
Hope that helps.

I didnt have to drill anything when I put my fold down rear seat in. It was all bolt on.

1. Are the Mystique seats a direct bolt on? Yes
2. Will the power driver seat work if I just plug it in? When I put leather in Ruby, I had to run my own wires to the stock power seat location in the fuse box. No biggie at all.
3. Will the fold down back seats of the Mystique fit if my Contour didn't come with fold downs? yes, you have to add the hardware, latches, and hinge. They just bolt right in & you may also have to remove a center support behind the existing bench, but that's it.
4. Is the power Contour leather seat more comfortable than the Mystique seat? I don't know, I have never sat in a leather Contour seat. I definately liked my cloth Contour seats comfort more than the Mystique leather... go figure.
Hope that helps.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

So if I plug the power seat to the connector it won't automatically work? That worries me if I have run my own wires. I have no idea how to do that. Someone elaborate on what I need to do to make the seat work. Thanks

My car didn't have the plug, but it was a true SE (Surplus Equipment). Most cars will have it, but even then it's quite easy to wire up, so don't worry about it. Really! There should be a capable CEGer nearby who is willing to help you.
