My car didn't have the plug, but it was a true SE (Surplus Equipment). Most cars will have it, but even then it's quite easy to wire up, so don't worry about it. Really! There should be a capable CEGer nearby who is willing to help you. 
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
