Are there any kits for the focus (zetec) that use a centifugal supercharger instead of the traditional top mount with a modified intake? If there was enough room in the bay it would seem like a better option in that it is easier to install and after or intercool.

I know that the honda gang has been using a design that uses a shafted model in order to put the charger on the least crowded end of the engine bay for many years now.

Yes, this one uses the Vortech V9-F SQ supercharger.

I know with the FS Vortech SC, you need to relocate the coolant resevoir and move some other parts around to make it fit. As you can see, it's a very tight fit to get the SC to fit on the belted side of the engine.

yeah it looks like its a squeeze. That's why I was curious to see if they had one that used a shaft driven by the crank and then extending to the driver's side where there is more space.

I was wondering if all turbos/superchargers are for mtx, because I'm stuck with a atx.

Well, it's the torque that most ATX's can't handle so the JRSC might be OK for an ATX since the TQ isn't increased that much. You get more HP than TQ with the JRSC.

But with turbo, the TQ might be bad for the ATX.

Is that because of the torc converter?
