My conclusion: He was a loser in school, no friends. He became rich in the past few years. Decided to buy a sweet car to try and fit in with the guys. Wants to hook it up and be a "cool guy" but doesn't have a clue how. This is the result of it.

I saw his car in person a couple months ago, and it isn't that bad. The rims do need to go, they don't fit the car at all. Needs some 18" ADR or Koneigs gunmetal with a poilshed lip. And I'll be honest, as ugly as the pipes look, they are all functional and the TT does sound VERY nice. I straight up said to him, "Is there anyway to achieve that sound where it actually looks good?". I think I burst his bubble, then. 
no no-- anyone with a german car will tell you that adr's and koneigs will not do haha- they all look for a set of BBS or Keskins -- anything to fit in with the euro styling-- anything else is practically shunned around those parts haha

You are correct, they liek Enkei, too... but a set of ADR or Koneigs would be night and day on that car instead of the "ice".

haha- yes, i'm definetly right-- i used to own one  if you posted anything on vwvortex other then those listed (or something rare like schmidts and euro crap) they'd have a field day and be rude haha
