I have the PSC-P8. Now working for Best Buy - Geek Squad tech desk, i notice a few Sony Cybershots come in for servicing, the ones with the lens cover that opens automatically, they get stuck open, with a can of compressed air, they can clean the dust out and make the camera good as new

Now, if you take CARE OF your camera, it shouldnt be a problem, and the Cybershot will be a great camera

Avoid Kodak btw, those come in alot...
