how ever high people want to bid it on ebay so about $3 to 400
or you could sell it to another CEGer for a decent price and help someone out looking for a part like that

Given the fact that you can have Extrude Hone 3x hone the standard 2.5 UIM for 285.00 and that the 3x UIM will flow better than the stock SVT UIM...the performance market may be gone as far as the top end dollar.
I know I would have gone 300.00 for a SVT UIM, LIM combo just a few weeks ago. Now, I just passed on the LIM for 90.00, those are still fairly well available and have found them in the 45.00 range. I bought a "spare" standard UIM (25.00), will send that to EH for the 3x treatment and shop for the cleanest SVT LIM while I am waiting for the UIM to come back.
As far as powder coating, if that is a desire why stick to the stock black (although that would be my color of choice)when you can have any combo you want.

I was at the junk yard the other day and almost picked up a standard V6 IM. You say that they could be extrude honed for $285. I went to Extrude Hone web site and looked at the prices. They did not appear to have the Contour intake listed but nothing listed was that cheap. Was there a special offer or was I in the wrong place?

I've seen the standard V6 UIM max EH'd and was not satisfied by the way it looked. Meaning in did not look "right". The SVT UIM is beefier and still has thickness to it after the process. The standard UIM is smaller so everything seemed thin.
Just FYI

Thinner = less weight. That's good, right?
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I guess I would have to post pics of what I mean.
Some don't have a problem using a standard UIM for max pass, but I would not, and others have done it/seen it and feel the same.

I e-mailed extrude hone on the cost. Answer:
"Thank you for your inquiry in Extrude Hone. Rick Miller says the cost to process your Ford Contour intake is $485.00 plus shipping. The turn around time is approximately two weeks."
