clay bar gets the crap off the surface that is stubborn. it smoothes out the clearcoat so the clear becomes smooth as glass.

no. it just removes anything that has contaminated the surface. you will need to compound the scratches and then apply a wax or sealant

Also make sure to check at "auto body supply" stores. You can find all sorta neato stuff in those places. You can even find Medium and Heavy grit clay blocks that will remove some very minor surface stuff.

Im not sure what area of the country but FleetFarm has the Meguiars Clay bar kit for like $10 and it works great!

I went shopping yesterday, and planned on getting one of these, but all the Advance Auto Parts had was one that was a whole kit and cost $14. A little too much for me.

Do clay bars remove wax that is already on there? I can't find a product that will remove the wax, and I want the clay bar to work good.

any polish removes wax. so anything like meguiars swirl remover/polish u can use to remove the old wax.
