People moan about resale, but there are tons of other cars with the same or worse.
This isn't "World of Collector Cars" where one expects profits.

I think what gets people annoyed is that the SVT is a limited production car. These cars usually retain their value better than most other cars. In our case though, the SVT got clumped with the regular Contours (Hertz mid-size special), and the resale plummeted. Had the car even had a different name (as like the Cobra to the Mustang), we probably would have received special recognition and slightly higher resale values.
Such is life. Yet another reason why it's better to buy used.
