If it was cocaine, or LSD, or Extasy I could see such a severe punishmet. I smoke weed every other weekend. Its rare that I ever drink(dont drink anything with carbonatinon.sp?) In no way does it effect my day to day life and I dont abuse it either. Its really taken too seriously by some people. Sounds like she really got screwed. Amazing execution could be still be carried out by the firing squad?!

There are still a few states that have death by firing squad as an option...

That article is pretty nuts Quote:
found adult marijuana smokers who first began using the drug before age 12 were twice as likely to have suffered a serious mental illness in the past year as those who began smoking after 18.
I haven't heard anyone that advocated legalization saying we should sell it to kids. Kids whom by the way are having some major nutrition problems nowadays.
Back to the original post, it seems kinda interesting how these cases pop up every so often, sometimes it almost seems to convenient that the person could be guilty.
"Bros before Hoes" <-- More men need this mentality.

What about the assertion that she somehow got through Sydney International's security compared to Bali's? That makes zero sense to me.
Also doesn't it seem odd that they allowed no testing to be done on the origin of the weed and the bags containing it? What about the fact that they had numerous opportunities to fingerprint the inner bag containing the weed? Sounds to me like it's nothing more than a witch hunt.

This could be a wakeup call that their security isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

If their courts don't deem that to be important, too bad.

So what about the fact that Sydney has already had troubles with baggage handlers with criminal backgrounds being hired? What seems more likely, 9lbs of weed that is not concealed in ANY way being smuggled by some 27 year old beauty school student; or some crooked baggage handler using putting 9lbs of bud in her bag at Brisbane to be picked up in Sydney that his associate missed? I'm leaning towards the latter. In 2003, there was a news story describing an incident at JFK which involved 12+ baggage handlers and their trafficking of illegal drugs? "Muling" does happen and it happens a LOT.

"What did you think about that Dorothy girl?"
"The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. That doesn't make me some sort of fag does it?
"Nah baby, your money."

Please, thats the most halfbaked excuse for being caught red-handed drug smuggling if I ever heard one.
