I am confused after reading the forum about the upper cable end discontiued. Replace by what?

I went to the dealer and they do not have the upper cable end connecotr unless getting the whole cable set. Okay, use the focus part... can someone tell me what is the part number and will it be easy fix or modify to fit the pin.

I ordered the bottom cable end connector and the part guy also getting me the focus cable end connector, told me to bring back if not fit to use. I ordered the gaskets for UIM and LIM and both are expensive, $56cnd for UIM and $44cnd for lim gaskets.

It should be here by Wednesday.

I don't think the Focus cable ends will fit. When I changed the "shift tower" from the plastic Contour version to the metal Focus version I had to get 2 new cable ends to fit the Focus shift tower. If you have not changed out the shift tower it is a good idea. The Contour version has plastic bushings that wear out and make the shifting sloppy. Also the Contour tower is very expensive to replace vs the Focus tower. Do a search to find all the part numbers.
