recently, someone i had grown up with and graduated with was diagnosed with cancer. he went away to college, but had to drop out. he now cannot get and insurence coverage. his family does not have the money to pay for his treatments. here is the deal....
...The Cruise in will be a fundraiser for Chris Moon. Chris graduated from East last year in 2004 and is 19 years old. In August of 2004 he was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Hodgkins disease is a form of cancer that attacks the lymph nodes. Hodgkins can be curable, but only with the proper treatment which includes radiation and chemotherapy, as well as bone marrow transplants and blood stem cell transfusions. Without proper treatment Hodgkins is fatal. Due to intensive treatments, Chris has had to drop out of college, making him ineligible to be covered under his parents health insurance plan. This has resulted in making it virtually impossible for the family to pay Chris' medical bills and further needed treatment to overcome this disease. Therefore, friends and family have gathered to hold a car show/cruise in in order to raise money to help Chris fight off this life threatening disease.

-There will be an entrance fee of $7.00 to help raise money for Chris and there will also be different categories to enter your car in such as best honda, best nissan, etc... The entry fee will be $10.00 if you want to enter your car into one of these categories and the winner will rereceiveome sort of certificate, but all proceeds from the event will go straight to Chris to help him pay for medical bills and further treatment.
