I did have a really long day, today, and I would thoroughly enjoy going to a club to dance, and party. Am I gay, all of a sudden, now?

Vegas has cool clubs but they are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Just get wasted before you go as the $25 cover fee will have your ass puckering like a sumbish!

It's $25-30 to get into a NY club on average. Luckily I am in real good at Avalon, where I go mostly...but anywhere else i have to pay full price. Oh, and i'll be plenty messed up before i set foot in any club. I plan to be continuously drunk for atleast a week in vegas.

how often do u go to avalon? i still havent been there. crobar and spirit in the last few weeks though. i heard a lot of people saying they didnt like avalon cuz its a small tight dancefloor and the crowd tends to suck.

i was in vegas a few weeks ago, and it ruled. didnt get to do much clubbing cuz most of the people i was with wasnt into techno. vegas clubs r kinda different cuz u have to go on certain nights to certain clubs for the good nights, otherwise you'll end up at a club on the wrong nite and be listening to just garbage music. coolest thing is u can drink on the strip. grab a beer in one hotel and walk out with it to the next hotel. grab a mixed drink at the next place and leave with it to the next place. keep the glass or chuck it, your decision. definitely try club ice, ra, body english, studio 54. just walk around the mgm and its loaded with hotties. and you wont be club hopping either. pick a place, get there early and wait in line. or tip the bouncer to get u in

You know, if you had posted here and said you didn't enjoy going to clubs/techno music, or whatever...it would have been fine. But, instead, you spew out some close minded, ignorant crap. Guess what? Nobody cares what you think is lame. Maybe in bumblef@ck MN a good time could be had drinking out behind the barn, and milking the bulls with the rest of the hillbillies, but this is NYC. The greatest city in the world. We get down.

How many times have I heard a straight man say he wants to dance all night long....well, there's a few hundred I see EVERY friday night doing just that. If physical contact with beautiful members of the opposite sex is gay, then I guess I wanna be as gay as possible. Have fun with your cousin...err..."G.F."

I am there pretty much every week. I'm trying to cut back to every other week now, the partying is just costing too much stinking money. I haven't been to crobar ever, spirit is really nice but they play too much "commercial" music. I missed out on the Jonathan Peters party there last week too. Damn.

Avalon is smaller than most other clubs, but the only dance floor that is PACKED is in the hip hop room. It doesn't bother me, cause I don't go in there much. Even though it's pretty much an orgy in there. It has never been as packed in Avalon as it was in say...exit. And exit was REALLY bad at times. There's usually plenty of space on the main floor, and there's also a balcony above it.

As far as the crowd...well, let me be clear that the crowd at avalon is predominantly a drug crowd. People go there to trip out, hear HARD music, and get freaky. It's actually calmed down a bit in recent months though. I tend to go on friday nights, they have both Tony Draper and Johnny Vicious playing...they are both great DJ's (I've had the honor of meeting them a few times) and they usually end up having a nice little battle by the end of the night. A friend of mine, Chris Asta opens on friday night as well. Every few weeks they have some famous DJ there. Few months back they had Blank & Jones, more recently they had Christopher Lawrence. The smaller size of the club makes it alot better. I mean, you can get within a few feet of these guys, without being in the DJ booth (which is great too!). I haven't gone on saturday in a while, mostly because the guy who gets me in for free works on friday...but the first sat. of every month is Bad boy bill...which i want to check out.

I dunno about the crowd sucking...I've definitley met some "interesting" and flat out scary people there, but there's really no problems. No fights, nothing. And, I've met alot of people from other countries there. Last friday I was hanging out with 2 slammin' girls from ontario. The week before that, I was talking BMW's with this blonde from Germany. I've met girls from the UK, and even stole a brazilian away from her boyfriend. Definitley not a bad crowd. Again, most people go there to get really f'ed up and let loose, if you're not into that then you probably won't like it that much. I've never brought anyone there with me that hasn't had a great time though. If you want to come let me know, I can get tickets cheap.

Looks like a lot of the clubs in SF. Suprised they allow the jeans in, most clubs here it's "Dress to Impress" ... no jeans.

One of my buddies is a DJ also who lives in Frisco and the club scene is pretty good but Los Angeles has The City beat hands down.(Except the Rave scene) I live walking distance to The Concorde, White Lotus, The Ivar, Garden of Eden, Joseph's Cafe and The Knitting Factory. Some of the hottest clubs in L.A. there is also about 10 more within a $3 cab ride. Also Sunset Strip and all of its places are only a $4-5 cab ride. I haven't partied in South Beach yet., but I think that some places in L.A. will give it a run for its money.

Definately get a bit wasted before you go. Also with the way it is nowadays you pretty much have to get a V.I.P. package at about $65 a head if you don't want to stand in line for 1-2 hours.(You get a table and champagne with the V.I.P package)I recommend 54 as they have a great show and go-go dancers all night. Rain is great but the lines are just stupid long since Real World Las Vegas unless you want to pay the bouncer to get in with out the wait ($40-100 per person on some nights before the cover). Coyote Ugly is fun but real small and you WILL get wet (I did last 3 times I've been there). Another recommendation is hit the club you want to go to early (9-9:30) becuase after that the lines are way too long.

New Years here in L.A. was $200 each for VIP access to 3 clubs on Sunset. $100 for regular tix.

Well it's obvious that you can't dance. So I guess that it's a good excuse to not like clubs.

I love clubs!
