Well if all goes well, my engine from Buckshot will arrive on Wednesday and the swap will begin on Saturday morning. Now my friend who knows about engine swaps will be doing most of the work, I'm just helping out as needed.
What things will I need to do to prepare for the swap such as parts maybe needed, etc.?
What things should be replaced at the time of the swap?
And one important question, my 2.5 is shot but will still start up and run. My car is parked at my house and my friend lives about 2 1/2 minutes away from me. The swap will be done at his house but I don't know if I should get the car towed or just drive it over. Do I risk further damage to any other parts by doing it?
I need as much input about the swap as possible because this is all new to me.
Thanks again everyone.

Well your getting a new one anyway so 2 1/2 minutes of driving couldnt make it any worse. However it could lock up on you on the way over. Just DOOO IT. -tropictour

I'm not worried about the block itself. I'm just wondering if driving it can potentially damage other parts.

Depends on what you're actually getting from Rick. Longblock, shortblock..... what are you having him build?
