Anybody out there know where I can get the HVAC/Stereo surround and headlight switch surround trim panels from the mystique? The ones I am looking for are the fake wood patern. I have a '99 SVT and would like to make the switch. The problem is that they are about $100 each from the dealer (got quotes from 3) and no salvage yards in my area have a late model Mysty. Ideas? Anybody want to trade for the black ones? My SVT was built on 3/99 and has an airbag (apparently that makes a difference).

Funny you say this. I painted my 98 Mystique trim pieces. BUT, the only pieces that would work on your car is the 99+ Mystique panels as the HVAC panel was changed in 99 to be the identical part as the Contours. More decontenting. IMHO, it just doesn't look good.

yeah, I figured there would be a few people out there who didn't want the wood grain, but I happen to like it. I have the prairie tan interior with black exterior, so I think it would look pretty classy. To each his own!

I have an email at home of a guy that has the pieces for the 98. You could make it work but you'd need the 98 and below, HVAC panel. It's quite cheap brand new. About $20. I'll try and find the guy's addy.

I apoligize for the long delay. I just found the gent's email addy that had the sets of dash pieces for the Mystique. I don't know if he still has them and remember, these will not work on the 99+ Tours directly, but it should if you got the 98 Hvac face. HTH John
His addy: Rodney R. Carman - mycarman@n-link.com
Just shoot him an email
