I agree with that theory, but the problem is if there was no cheap illegal labor, we'd either have to increase wages so Americans would do it (hurting the company and driving prices up - inflation) or force Americans to do it for the same low wage (thereby lowering the standard of living and related ramifications). Tough situation to get out of.

I actually read the article the DALLAS MORNING NEWS and it just ticked me off....
It's not their LATEST agenda item. They've talked about illegal border crossers for a very long time.
The point is that these ILLEGALS think they should have the rights and privileges as everybody that comes across the border has. THey don't have the same rights and priviliges. Why? Oh that's right, because they came here ILLEGALLY!! This post has nothing to do with those mentioned in your post. It has to do with the Dallas Morning News Article that I read two minutes before posting....

Yes we do. There are 7.7m "unemployed" people in the US, according to www.dol.giv.
It is hard to estimate the number of illegals in the country, but most sources put it around 10-11m.
Now, let's assume that most of the illegals actually have a "job" (if they are without one for long, they go home, since it is cheaper to be broke in Mexico than in the US).
So if you sent each and every unemployed person in the US to work, there would be still about 3m positions unfilled.
You're right, we have an employment problem.

I'm sorry, i have to laugh when I hear the US has an 'employment problem'. 3-5% unemployment is awesome! The last country I was in had an unemployment rate of 40-60%! Now that is a problem!
