I can see their frustration, having to make a living while gas is almost double it was a few years ago, shipping charges aren't lessening and customers's are wanting rock bottom charges. Not much will change unless they all didn't ship anything for like a week then we'd all realize their importance (like 90% of goods we get importance)

Well, after my sister sent me one of those stupid "forward this and get some of Bill Gates' money" emails, I said the same thing.

I don't know what the fuel taxes are in Canada, but the truckers certainly have a valid point about the poor logistics at the ports and docks. Not sure what the government could do about that though. FWIW French truckers stage protests like that basically once a year, and usually get what they want

The government [censored] drivers over with the new hours of service laws, at least in the US. Now drivers lose more driving hours by sitting at a dock.

How stupid are they ? Everybody's dealing with high gas prices, it's not isolated to them.
Gas taxes are only 30% of the pump price, assuming the government takes away the tax, demand will eventually increase to the point that in 2 or 3 years the pump price will be back at where we are. What the [censored] are they going to do then ? Form a blockade in the middle east ?
The era of cheap gas is over, DEAL WITH IT.

Everybody, How much a week do you spend in fuel?
My dad on average is around 700 bucks to fill it up, figure twice a week.
How many weeks, no MONTHS can you run on 1,400.00 in fuel?
I'm done with this, I can go on about how truck drivers make america run, but you will tell me I'm wrong.
