I may have opportunity to repaint my SVT in about a month. It's black with typical chipping Ford paint. I want to keep the main color black with some type of pearl. Not sure what color though. Open to other colors also. Can u guys do some creative brainstorming and let those ideas fly no matter how crazy?! I want to know what you guys would think is cool. Let me get you started....I thought about a very rich blue but interior is blue so don't if that will go together well. Canary yellow, burnt orange...hot pink (just kidding)...some type of graphics. Go crazy here, I wanna know!!!!!! Money not an issue...

I would go black cherry, looks incredible if done properly - kindof a stealth look with your tinted windows as well maybe even a fade job front to back, black cherry to maraschino cherry? yum, I need a sundae now.... ------------------ Toadster - Todd Christ '98 Silver Frost SVT#1037 of 6535 built Moderator: CEG Northern CA Forum Toadster's SVT Roundup - home of the Contour SVT Owner's List MODS: KKM Intake, TH-Fix, Synthetic Oil, 18% Llumar tint all-around, 9006CB Headlamps, TBD....

I'm not familiar with Black cherry. Is that a dark red? Or a type of pearl paint?

If I was getting my SVT painted I would have to go with a deep metallic blue.
Seeing those deep blue ST200 cars convinced me that we could use a few such SVTs around.

It doesn't really look like that in person, Zanzibar is one wierd color.. A mix of orange and red.. Try these pictures for a closer capture of the real color: [This message has been edited by Officer Cartman (edited January 13, 2001).]

I don't know about PPG. My friend had his jetta painted last november with PPG. In April he went to a touchless car wash and lost almost half of his shiney new paint. Plus I'm sure chrysler uses PPG and if you've seen any 5 year old caravan's they are usually missing the paint from the hood and roof. For color..I'd get that earwax orangey bronze that they are putting on new acuras like the EL(i think)coupe
