Hang in there. I gave him lots of stuff to read & learn before jumping onto the 3L band-wagon. More educated he gets, less likely a mistake will be made & more likely he'll be happy with the result.
At this point, I'm certain he's going 3L, it's just a matter of what year engine & what heads/cams, etc.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
