Who in the USA makes proper good quality stainless steel valves for the Zx1 zetec?
I'm reassembling two heads and the intake valves are crap. They are pitted from carbonic acid on the back of the valves.
On the second head which was leaking compression between cyl 2 and 3 plus pumping compression gasses into the front water hole between cyl 2 and 3 when at high rpm. It would then pumping coolant out through the same water way through the headgasket into the same cylinders when off.
The Valve faces on this head have been pitted by the coolant as well.
I bought some new intakes from Ford but they look inferior to the originals.
Exhaust valves look good.

Cheers for that, but those are too short in the stem... unless you happen to know that the SVT focus valves have the same stem length as the ZX1 or Zetec E in the pre april "98 mondy?

Hey....check on the Focaljet forums. I have seen people over there using Ferrara (something like that)valves.
