It's funny you mentioned Vans shoes . I wear them every day , and have for many years (more than I'd like to mention ) , as some of the local CEGers can attest to . Most times I'll be in slip-ons (of one pattern or another) , sometimes "normal-type" Vans sneakers . I've even autocrossed in them , and like you said , they work pretty well (the slip-ons are easier to feel the pedals) .

They look the same but only come with half the shoes.

lol I'm kinda PO about my new Nike's. The damn back of them is so stiff it doesn't bend with my ankle while I'm driving. I think they still need to be "broken" in. Only had them for a few days.
