yea im getting a bike =P dont worry im keeping the conty though. anywhom i was j\w wondering if any one has some input on which one to get. its between a yamaha yzf r6, or a suzuki gsx r600. -thanks-

im looking for one too. probably a honda, unless i decide to wait a year and save for the BMW

Mmmm...
They're both pretty damn quick; very similar performance numbers and specs. But, both have different geometries. Sit on both and see which is a better fit.
... I'm hoping this isn't your first or even second bike...

I'll second that, if you have never been on a bike before, get something slower. See my sig for my bike. It's a cruiser, but certainly not slow.

slower than a 600 for a first bike?
come on
I learned on a 250 and my first bike is now a 750 cruiser. It is in no way too fast as a first bike.

ive had 3 bikes, the YZF R6, the GSXR 600, and the honda CBR600 F4I...i would look more into the Yamaha, it handled better, had better accel and i was much more comfortable on the R6...If you are looking into the honda, then look into the CBR600 F4I...I really liked that as well, but the performance of the R6 is amazing, and you can also find just about any part to modify them...in my opinion those 3 bikes rank as 1.Yamaha R6 2.Honda CBR600 F4I and 3.Suzuki GSX-R 600...but thats just my .02

i've said it before, and i will say it again. a bike is only as scary or fast as it's owner makes it. a gsxr or r6 will be a fine first bike if you can control yourself.

Thats a friggin understatement. Not a good first bike if one doesn't respect the bike and what it's capable of.
