I was startin to get pissed....then I got this today. Thanks for your patience,
I finally have some good news. The kit is done and will be shipped today. With UPS the trip will take about 5 days to get to you. You should see the kit by Wednesday or Thursday of next week. The kit should only take about 1-2 hours to install, so you should have enough time for installation and a few beers.
Thanks again for hanging in there with us.

You are going to love that exhaust. It makes the Contour sound pretty mean.

Im still curious as to what the trubendz+magnaflow sounds like IN PERSON. audio clips arent a good representation in my opinion. Can you describe the sound. There is a fine line btw sounding good and sounding mean. Does this muffler make it sound like a wana be mustang or try to make it sound like a V8 a la flowmaster/mustang setup? FM sounds good on stangs but I'm not looking for that sound on my CSVT. Can you explain the note?
I am contemplating the Trubenz w/ either Borla or magnaflow. The borla is supposed to sound like a meaner stock sound. Basically a more intense hum, which sounds good b/c I like the stock sound.

Well, it won't sound like a Mustang but it does have a pretty unique sound. The Magnaflows have a rougher note than the Borlas and sound more aggressive. If you listen to my sound clip it has a nice, deep agressive sound on startup. At idle it sounds a lot deeper than my uncle's Mustang with a Flowmaster catback and MAC Prochamber just not as loud.
In the higher rpm ranges it sounds like stock except louder and deeper. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it so I guess it sounds good from the outside. The only way you can make the Contour sound meaner like pissed off, is adding headers and a y-pipe. The Mustang has an almost perfect exhaust note that is almost impossible to recreate owing to its engine and exhaust layout.

I agree my 5.0 sounds
Ya I like the stock sound alot but the owner before me removed the resonator so upon cold startup and untill it gets warm it has a rasp kind of like a fart can but definatly not as bad. Once it warms up it sounds great. I was thinking about going trubenz/borla but then I was thinking this is an SVT and like the Cobras and Lightnings Maybe I want a more meaner sound or beefier sound. But I dont want it to sound like a V6 stang w/ flowmasters (al la wana be V8 sound). Also does the turbenz/magnaflow drone or rasp at all? What about w/ a optimized y-pipe and/or headers? I also do not want it no be too loud b/c whenI had an exhaust leak it was noticably louder and at around 3500rpms it would make something in the cabin vibrate (VERY annoying). Thats why all this time I was looking into the resonated Borla so I wouldnt have the inside cabin vibrations. Decisions Desicions. Could you answer some of my speculations and questions above. As an owner of this setup you more than anyone would be able to agree or enlighten me w/ some answers. Could you post your Magnaflow vid as well? Thanks
Justin

No, it sounds nothing like the V6 Mustang. I can't stand the sound of that car, they sound like tractors. I have the Magnaflow resonated version with an optimized Y-pipe which has no almost no drone and absolutely no rasp. The resonators will make the exhaust quieter but do not restrict power because they are of a straight through design. The exhaust actually gets quiet at 3000rpm so highway drving is fine. Here is my exhaust clip post. Exhaust clip post

my girlfriends brother has the exhaust with magnaflow- it sounds pretty decent, somewhat a different groan then the stock sound, but nothing overly aggressive that makes you turn your head saying 'what the hell is that'

Thanks! I listened to yours as well as Wa2tuff's both sound awesome. Its not going to be easy picking btw the two.
JCSVT, which Magnaflow series mufflers are those. Im not too educated on their products so I dont know if there are a few diff options for the tour (sound wise/performance wise)

JCSVT, you ever heard a Stang V6 with GT take-off duals. Let me tell it don't sound like a tractor, it sounds bitchin, a nice low rumble.
