My throttle cable is visually frayed..i'm wondering how is it released from the firewall and how long "should" it take to replace...car is still under ESP but I really dont want to go to the dealer especially considering the cable is only $51 and my deduct is $100...TIA...btw i searched and found nothing about cable replacement..

Disregard...found my answer...thanks

as a help to OTHERS, try posting what you DID find.. so it won't be so hard for the next guy to figure it out.
(on any troubleshooting post you make..)

Yeah, I hate it when I find someone that has my same problems and they never post what the fix was.

My apologies, i found the info under the "how to" section...it referred to changing over to an SVT throttle body...very simple task if you're willing to sacrafice your knuckles a little...cable was frayed near the firewall end of the cable as well as the bracket..

thanks again
