Well, I'm not too proud to admit that you were right...at least about a bad plug. #2 had a crack and was shorting to ground under heavy acceleration. I replaced this plug with a new one and the car runs better than I can remember it ever running!

I won't condemn the Autolites based upon one failure, however. Besides, I can't swear on a stack of Bibles that I didn't inadvertently break the darn thing. I still am not willing to use the Bosch plugs based on the experiences of many of our most experienced members. Also, I've never had a problem with the Motorcraft double plats!
