It sounds like there is a good response with just a few hours of posts. Since I don't want to get to political with whos gear I use, I will just use the first person that posted. I have already sent a mailing to him. If it falls through, I will move to the next. I will definitely keep everyone updated with the progress and the first tests that are done when the gears are ready. I still need to test them when they are done to make sure they will hold up. Again, every part that I make will work for a lifetime or I will replace the part or give a refund. The idea is that I actually help people.

This sounds like the area to post. If this should be on a different forum, let me know or just spread the word. Once I have the sample gear, I am hoping to have the gear to the machine shop asap and then back to the person. About two months later, the first gears should be ready.

As you already know, and I found out, this is a very difficult part to reproduce. It takes some very intricate design for the mold base. I am sure one of you plays with plastics and can explain to others the difficulty.

Anyway, like I said, I will post back to this forum and keep all informed. This should be the real thing this round. No more playing around.
