i was in the same boat as you. i tried both and liked different things about each one. so..i did the only reasonable thing i could. i made a B&SteedaM shifter. i cut the steeda to the same height as the B&M and now i have a real short throw shifter. i also had the welds beefed up. here are the pics of the one and only. oh yeah...forget the B&M knob, i had one of my lathe guys make me a new one. but i don't have a pic of that right now. i had SVT and my build number engraved into the top of the knob.
