After 14 years in the Navy and shooting a wide range of handguns, the Ruger is the better deal. with the Glock you are paying for a name, just like Colt, H&K etc. They all have thier good and bad points. Look up past articals out of handgunner magazine on the web I believe it is handgunner.com but I might be wrong. You need to look at why you are buying it and what it is to be used for. Personal protection, sport what ever. I would go with the Ruger .45 with better grips, last I checked $350 with 2 clips and a locking case.
