For that kind of shooting situation, I'd go for a fullsize Colt 1911-type frame. I know they're mostly in .45ACP, but if you shop around I know you can find some in 9mm chamberings. I'm still looking into a model 1911. I had my hands on an old military issue 1911 that went overseas. It wasn't for sale But anyways....of the newer makes and models whos making a good model 1911 .45 ?
