You should really try a Ruger with a Hogue grip on it. It is literally a night and day difference. Also, I love the Beretta you have; it's one of my favorite guns to shoot (It just looks and feels like a gun should, not like the box-on-a-grip look of the Glock)

Glocks are the most dependable guns out there, but that comes at a cost. For people where their life can depend on a gun, there isn't much a choice over a Glock.

However, it doesn't sound like you want a gun for much more than wasting some ammo with (not a bad thing at all though!) Which is why I would stick with the Ruger.

Like I said, I have put over 1500 rounds through my gun and had 0 jam, stove-pipe, etc.

Sig makes a very good gun too, but like the Glock that quality comes at a price.

I picked up my p89 at a steal of a deal. Barely used with original everything, and 2 hi capacity magazines (pre-ban) for $300 out the door at a gun show. IMHO, gun shows are the best way to pick up a gun, especially if you buy from a dealer that is attending the show (you have someone to go back to for problems)
