No, psychotic kids lead to Columbine. It's the people, not the weapons.
but without the weapons it's is much less likely for it to happen though, that you can't deny. Now i'm not some anti-gun guy at all, my friends have em and we shoot em on ocassion, but i'd rather spend money on my car then have a gun.

And that's all that you needed to say, not to enflame a post with Columbine references and make a statement.
Personally, I'd go with the Glock, although Ruger is making nicer pistols. Walther is a great mfg, but, Glock is still a VERY reliable pistol. Great weight, fairly comfy.

People can hurt others with anything. If guns are not available columbine kids would have made bombs (they did, if I recall correctly). People these days are fuckd up, and banning guns does nothing to stop that. There is no reason at all to ban firearms for self-defense, recreation, or hunting. Get off your damned high-horse and admit that guns don't kill.

Glocks are good guns ..if not 70% of Law Enforcement agencys wouldnt carry them..i have a Glock 22 moded 40 Cal. w/ Law Enforcement clips 15 Rounds .it kicks A@@ my next handgun im going to get in about a year that would be the Glock 27 40 Cal (baby Glock) and use it as a back up gun and for Personal protection/vatactions and such since you can hide them so well (im also going for school for Criminal justice law enforcement and considering going into the air force for Security Forces before i b/c a cop. mike

I like the Ruger. Personally, I'm a sixgun guy. I like accuracy over rate of fire, since self-defense is not something I worry about. Do you have any real use for the run besides plinking? If so, you will probably be happier with the .22. If your .22 is not a Ruger Mark II, go get one. I think a Ruger Mark II and 10/22 provide all the shooting fun you can handle. My .44 Magnum is a lot of fun to shoot, and a different challenge, but it's really only something I got into because you need that kind of power for hunting.

Glocks are ultra-reliable. They're pretty accurate, and easy to maintain. I prefer the Ruger because I like Ruger, and haven't been dissapointed by them yet. I also like the feel of a solid gun. Shooting a P90 .45 and a Glock ?? 10mm, I like the feel of the Ruger. It's more SVT Cobra than STi. If this is for fun, it all comes down to what you like: shoot some guns at a range, and pick what you enjoy.

Probably why I never will.
But hey, it's your life so live it.
Thats whats so beautiful about this country, there doesn't have to be "a point."
Exactly.

Has more to do with poor parenting than handgun availability. You are NOT your kids best friend! You're their PARENT! DEAL WITH IT!!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
