I just spent the last 4 hours going through my truck pulling out all sorts of goodies. The stereo system, Eclipse passive head unit, Xtant 2 channel amp, Xtand class D mono amp, sub woofer, lots of wires, and the SIRIUS. In went a $100 Clarion am/fm cd player.

Last week I spent a collective 6 hours taking off the snow plow mounts and wiring then sold the whole plow package.

I had to do all that becasue there's no way I'm trading my truck in with all that stuff on it.

Tommorow is the big day, I'm going to go sign my truck over to the dealer and pick up my new ride. 05 Ram 2500 with the high output Cummins engine. I'm not sure on the options yet because there are 2 trucks I have to choose from. 1 that the dealer brought in from Pennsylvania that has minimal options but has the heavy duty 6 speed manual transmision and another on the lot that I have my eye on with their new 5 speed automatic tranny (they don't know I've been eyeing that truck on the lot though)

Either way, I'll be comming home tommorow with my new truck.

Elky, With rebates and a little heckling I'm gonna be paying about $8500 less than sticker.

I'll get a $2000 rebate for finanacing through Chrysler, a $2000 rebate for getting the diesel package and if it goes through quickly enough another $1500 for buying before the end of April.

For my truck I have now I'm going to trade it in becasue they are actually going to give me more for it than the price I agreed upon with a friend of mine who was interested in buying it. The dealer is giving me $500 more than my friend agreed to pay me plus with the tax savings I get from trading in I'm going to end up with alomost $1000 more than my friend offered.

If I had more time to do this and the new truck used the same size wheels I'd have the new tires I just put on my truck taken off and have some used ones put on this way I can have the brand new BFG all-terrains for the new truck but the new one has 17" wheels rather than 16".

I been thinking about it and becasue of the time of my appointment at the dealer, if I opt for a truck off the lot rather than the one they brought in for me I prolly will have to wait till tommorow becasue they will want to clean it up and prepare it and all that jazz. Either way, as long as the transaction is finalized before friday which is the last day for me to get that $1500 rebate I'm happy.

If they can't pull it off for me I'm gonna make them give me back my deposit becasue they were unable to deliver the truck to me that I offered a deposit for.

Then I'm gonna tell them where to put that truck from Pennsylvania, I'm gonna take my money and go to another Dodge dealer and buy from them instead.

Then I'm going write a nasty gram and mail it along with a plastic bag I fart in and mail it to Carter Dodge to express my displeasure.
