Here's a quote from Dubya Quote:
Mr Bush's State of the Union address, 29 January 2003:
Today, the gravest danger in the war on terror, the gravest danger facing America and the world, is outlaw regimes that seek and possess nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. These regimes could use such weapons for blackmail, terror, and mass murder...
Twelve years ago, Saddam Hussein faced the prospect of being the last casualty in a war he had started and lost. To spare himself, he agreed to disarm of all weapons of mass destruction.
For the next 12 years, he systematically violated that agreement. He pursued chemical, biological and nuclear weapons even while inspectors were in his country...
The dictator of Iraq is not disarming. To the contrary, he is deceiving.
You want to separate the two (WMD's and terrorists) but Dubya used them to scare people enough to think that action was not only necessary but a moral imperative. Hey but it's OK people waging multi billion dollar wars can make it up as they go right? Maybe he got confused. Maybe he thought the end would justify the means and that lying would be OK when everyone saw how well it all turned out. You can say "well he was half right and that's enough for me" but I'm not that easily placated.
Nice try Dave, no sale.

How people (liberals/Democrats) try to pretend that George W. Bush is the only one who said there were WMDs in Iraq is fascinating to me.

Yeah, everyone conveniently forgets that every major intel organization in the world thought the exact same. Quote:
You want to separate the two (WMD's and terrorists) but Dubya used them to scare people enough to think that action was not only necessary but a moral imperative. Hey but it's OK people waging multi billion dollar wars can make it up as they go right?
I saw no flaws in the quote you posted, even to this day. Let's recap:
Quote:
Today, the gravest danger in the war on terror, the gravest danger facing America and the world, is outlaw regimes that seek and possess nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.
Well, I agree with this. Do you?
Quote:
Twelve years ago, Saddam Hussein faced the prospect of being the last casualty in a war he had started and lost. To spare himself, he agreed to disarm of all weapons of mass destruction.
Proven fact, nothing decieving here.
Quote:
For the next 12 years, he systematically violated that agreement.
Again, this was proven again and again, as he did not fully follow any of the UN resolutions. This was the whole build-up towards 1441.
Quote:
He pursued chemical, biological and nuclear weapons even while inspectors were in his country...
The dictator of Iraq is not disarming. To the contrary, he is deceiving.
This is the only part of the quote that is debatable. Given the worlds intel stated this to be fact at the time, what would you have done as President? Would you have followed up with a UN resolution giving him one last chance to prove his innocence before other measures were taken?
Oh yeah, that's what we did.

Do you two need some baby oil? What's fascinating is your willingness to look the other way. Do I think Dubya is the only one...no. Do I think his administration orchestrated the deception...yes!

What deception? As previously posted, at the time, every major government agency believed that Saddam had WMDs.

Heck, Clinton went on 60 Minutes after we invaded Iraq the second time around and said that they thought all through the 1990s that Hussein was messing around with WMD. This wasn't just pulled out of thin air.
