I dunno about this whole Acura and power thing...Honda's never been about power...more out of a smaller package is right, but not powerful really...

well, he didnt say "big power" or inferred to anything of the sort. for a regular 4 cylnder sub-compact car, 200hp is quite a bit. not too many cars that are "reliable" and have decent "power". quite a few that have the power but not too many of them are bullet-proof like an acura. is300 is a good candidate too.

then if you want power, the vortech will do niceley (no turbo cuz were in cali, plus its cheaper).
but thats not to say there havnt been reliable 3L's.
thats just my non-mechanic opinion.
My 3 liter has been runging for almost 20,000 miles now,,,self built and installed .....when taking your time and doing it right the 3 liter WILL be more reliable than a 2.5 liter.

EDIT: I vote 3liter with turbos....oh wait, thats my current project

you are entirely correct, but even before i joined CEG i had seen 3L swaps have issues like overheating, so I had always been wary of them, not to say I wouldn't do a swap, in fact I definately would, but I'll say a well kept 2.5 will be very reliable.
as for your turbo, how are you planning on passing the dreaded smog? know someone who knows someone ?
