I would be hesitant to buy the intake, to be honest... it can be warped, may be even cracked... it's aluminum and the fire was probably very hot. just my paranoid opinion.

You can probably check for warpage and cracks...Not sure though.

I thought that the fuse box was a safe place to store my pennies. Who needs fuses when you can do that.

todras thats what mine has done twice now. the first time with the starter coming on while doing 40mph. i had to disconnect the battery to get it to turn off. and the second time, saturday, when it melted itself to some random piece of metal under the hood. luckily the battery died and ran out of power before anything caught fire. the mechanic at work said i had about 10 minutes before the car was toast.

i suggest everyone check out their wiring behind the fuse box if you have over 75k miles and drive a lot in rain/snow/michigan

wow I might want some stuff from that car too.. when do you think hell have a parts list a prices up? Its always sad to see a CSVT go but no one keeps track of the dead ones anymore
