I own 4 guns and a bow. Just like millions of others, I have never, ever used them in a way that was unsafe to a human being. So why am I stupid for having weapons? Cars can kill too. I'm far more likely to injure someone at an autocross than hunting/shooting. And in both cases they need to do something stupid to get hurt. You can say that you don't enjoy shooting sports, and wouldn't buy a gun because it would just be something dangerous you would have to take care of, but not that gun owners are "stupid" -- at least not without preparing to defend your right to tell us we can't have guns.
