And lots of proof says that if smoking alleviates your stress than it is better to smoke. Stress will kill you faster. Also, lots of people are immune to cigarette smoking with little to no ill effects, look around, you'll see plenty of old people smoking so it's not a guranteed death sentence.

Never seen that proof. There are a lot better ways to deal with stress. NOONE is immune to cigarette smoke or any smoke for that matter. They're just lucky it doesn't kill them or they haven't smoked enough and die of other causes first.
Seeing my grandma and uncle die from it sucked. And my Dad came very close to dieing from it and fortunately has quit. Now I need to do the same.
