Because I want to get the Spax struts in the classifieds because my backend keeps slamming down a rubbing with my Roush springs.
Afaik, the adjustable spax struts are new enough the FAQ wouldn't "know" about them. I think the non-adjustable spax struts were maybe meant to be an OEM replacement (???), whereas the adjustments are meant for pairing with new springs? Also, these springs are not just lowering springs they're also progressive rate (maybe these two go hand-in-hand, I wouldn't know for sure).
In any case BAT specifically states "Sport springs require fitting struts with more rebound rate than standard O.E. types offer. We offer a selection of European manufactured struts that are suitable of the task." That's a pretty clear indication these spax adjustables are suitable with use with their sport springs.
Unfortunately that doesn't help you with your decision about non-adjustables; maybe call BAT and ask them? Or just spring for the adjustables or another brand? Good luck.
