have you run a virus scan? see if you can download cc cleaner and cw shreadder. if those don't work then what you might want to do is look in the task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and look at what processes are running. anything you see that you don't already know what it is is something you want to look up. if it is a bad program you can pretty easily find removal instructions. also, try running these scans in safe mode with system restore turned off. you can use this or this to determine what most running processes are. another option is to run a program called hijack this and post the results here where some ceg'ers will be able to tell you what to do next.
