Perhaps I still don't know the damage done to crank, pistons, bearings, etc, but I got new heag gasket, intake and exhaust gaskets, had the head shaved (12 bux locally) all totalled I stuck in just about $200. (Including T Belt, antifreeze, pio and oil filter. I have about 200 miles on since 1:45am Sunday morning and my 86 Contour is running like new. (Still have recurrent CEL, but that was there before and after the HG going out.) Good luck, Dale
