Yes, it does say in the manual to mount it vertically for best results, but I coudlnt' find a good place to do that, unless I did so on the side of the trunk maybe? Anyway, I'm a stubborn mofo so I'm going to try some foam insulators to reduce vibrations. WIth my tighter suspension and motor mounts, my car's a very rough mofo sometimes.
