seat moves in all direction except for the rear, it only moves down. can't get the seat to move back up, feels like its stuck on something. any tips for what to look for? couldn't see anything that is jammed under there.

if you say it "feels" like it is getting stuck, then I would take it that the switch itself is POWERING the motor, but either the motor is not turning freely, or the seat is not moving down the track freely. (worn out threads, or misaligned shaft)
I wouldn't dig in to the switch unless you are getting NOTHING at all, going backwards.

I had the exact same problem, it turned out to be worn out threads.

Yes it is because if I remember right I think all new motor and everything was somewhere around $250 plus labor!
Naturlly I just went to U Wrench It and got the worn out parts for way less then that
